Modelling Electronics fully complies with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and we only obtain or store data that is vital for us to process your order and allow you to keep track of all previous orders.

How we store your information

All the information we store is kept on our secure servers and in most parts fully encrypted. We only store the payment method used such as Paid via PayPal or Paid via Card. We do not sore, see or even have access to any card details used only how you paid. This allows us to track your order and process any refunds such the need arise.

Account login information is stored fully encrypted on our servers so that you may login to your account and see previous orders. We cannot see, read or access your account login information.

Information we store is kept indefinitely unless you request otherwise in which case information is only kept as long as lawfully required.

People who contact us via social media

We use a third party provider, Hootsuite to manage our social media interactions.

If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations.

Communication from us

Your email address is stored and from time to time we may send out communications in relation to product updates or recalls. Any email other than invoices, order conformation, product updates or recalls will have an option for you to be removed from our mailing list. Your account area also has an opt-in and opt-out function to remove yourself from the mailing list as well as an unsubscribe function on our mailing list emails.

In order to be included in our mailing list you must opt-in, this can be done via your account area and during the checkout process.

Your Rights

Your right to be removed. (Request for erasure) Under the new GDPR rules you may apply to have your personal data removed from our system. You can apply to us in writing at the addresses listed below, email or phone for Modelling Electronics to remove all your information from our records. If we no longer need these details for reason such as proof of export then we can remove the information we hold. Removing all your information would result in any warranty claims being void as this would remove your proof of purchase from our systems. We will reply with our decision or if any further information is required to process your request within 21 days.
